Designed for one of Australia's most recognised surf brands, this project reimagined the Noosa Longboards experience beyond retail. Rather than creating a traditional surf shop or café, the vision was to establish a destination that celebrates the lifestyle surrounding surfing—where people can gather over coffee, browse handcrafted boards, discover local artists, listen to vinyl records and become part of the community that has shaped the brand for more than three decades.

Noosa Longboards has been a cornerstone of Noosa's surf culture since 1994, earning a reputation that extends well beyond surfboard craftsmanship. The design sought to honour that legacy while introducing a new layer to the customer experience—transforming the space into a place that feels lived in, creative and constantly evolving.

Spanning two interconnected tenancies, the project includes a café and lifestyle space alongside a dedicated retail store for the Noosa Longboards clothing collection. Together they create a journey that reflects the rhythm of the coastal lifestyle, where retail, hospitality and culture exist as one seamless experience.

More than a commercial fit-out, the space was designed as a platform for the local creative community. Today it regularly hosts exhibitions for emerging artists, intimate live music performances and community gatherings, allowing the architecture to become a backdrop for the people and stories that continue to shape Noosa's creative identity.
